At Lutheran Home, we offer Short Term Rehab options for those who need recuperative care following a surgery or an illness prior to returning back to their homes. We provide therapy services 6 days per week with the focus being on getting our clients home as soon as they are able. Our fully appointed PRIVATE rooms are set up with a short term stay in mind including flat screen televisions and telephones. Wi-fi is also available to help our clients stay connected with family and friends while getting back on their feet.

Our therapy team, Staffed by HealthReach, provides comprehensive Physical , Occupational and Speech Therapy in our spacious, therapy gym and treatment areas. Practicing a person centered approach to care, one staff person from each disciple will be dedicated to you and your recovery during you entire stay so that the needs of our clients.

Lutheran Home also has easy access for visiting family and friends, centrally located at 76th and North Avenue in Wauwatosa, minutes from the expressway. (Get directions.)

Pre-Admission for Scheduled Procedures

For people who have scheduled elective orthopedic procedures such as hip, knee, and spinal surgeries, there is an easy way to set up your rehabilitation needs ahead of time.

Why worry about the hassles of finding a place to recover after an orthopedic procedure? Lutheran Home offers pre-admission for people who would like to utilize our rehabilitation services. Simply call 414-258-6171 ext 272 for more information.

For those whose rehab needs are identified in a hospital setting, the team at the Lutheran Home can work directly with the hospital discharge planning specialists to ensure a smooth transition from the hospital to rehab. Our Client Relations/Admissions Coordinators work with all the major hospital systems to coordinate your care needs before you arrive.

This program is designed to work closely with residents, families and physicians to assess an individual’s personal living environment and to make recommendations that will keep them in their home, living both safely and independently, for as long as possible.
